Martin Frost is a novelist suffering from writer's block who retreats to a friend's empty house in the country. He discovers he's not alone when he wakes up next to Claire who has mysteriously appeared in his bed. They fall in love and Claire is suddenly stricken with a strange illness. As Claire gets sicker, Martin starts to wonder is she is even a flesh-and-blood person or some needed figmnent of his imaginagion. David Thewlis, Irène Jacob.
